These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the services provided by Kent Community TramShed CIC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By engaging with our programs, services, or facilities, you agree to comply with these Terms.

Kent Community TramShed CIC operates the following initiatives:

  • Kent Community Training: Providing educational courses, training, and career development opportunities.
  • The Goods Yard: A marketplace supporting local enterprises by offering retail and business development opportunities.

Welcome to Kent Community Training. By booking a course or using any of our services, you agree to the terms and conditions below. These terms apply to all learners, partners, and organisations engaging with us.

1. Booking a Course

  • Bookings can be made via our website, email, or in writing.

  • Confirmation will be sent by email once your booking is approved.

  • By booking, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and agree to these terms.

2. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due in full before the course start date unless agreed otherwise.

  • We accept card payments, bank transfers, or approved funding arrangements.

  • Funded learners must provide eligibility evidence if requested.

  • Late payment may result in cancellation or additional charges.

3. Cancellations & Transfers

We understand that plans can change, and we aim to be as flexible and fair as possible.

  • 3.1. Cancellations by You

    • More than 21 days before the course: You may cancel your booking without charge.

    • 8–21 days before the course: 50% of the course fee is payable.

    • 7 days or fewer before the course: The full course fee is payable, and no refund will be issued.

    All cancellations must be received in writing by email.

    3.2. Transfers by You

    • Requests to transfer your booking to another course date or delegate must be made in writing.

    • If the request is received more than 7 days before the course, we will transfer the booking free of charge.

    • Transfers requested within 7 days of the course may be treated as cancellations and are subject to the fees above.

    3.3. Non-Attendance

    Failure to attend a course without notifying us in advance will be treated as a cancellation with no refund.

    3.4. Cancellations by Kent Community Training

    In the rare event that we need to cancel or reschedule a course, we will offer an alternative date or a full refund. We are not liable for any other costs incurred as a result of a cancellation.

4. Course Delivery

  • We may need to adjust dates, venues, or trainers—advance notice will be given.

  • If we cancel a course, you’ll receive a full refund or the option to rebook.

  • Courses may require a minimum number of learners to run.

5. Learner Code of Conduct

  • Respectful, inclusive behaviour is expected at all times.

  • We reserve the right to remove any learner for disruptive or offensive conduct.

  • Let us know in advance if you require any accessibility or support adjustments.

6. Certificates & Completion

  • Certificates are issued upon successful completion and full attendance.

  • Failure to meet course requirements may result in withheld certification.

  • Replacement certificates are available for a small admin fee.

7. Use of Course Materials

  • All training content is the property of Kent Community Training or our partners.

  • Materials may not be copied or reused without written permission.

8. Liability Disclaimer

  • We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during training unless caused by our negligence.

  • You are responsible for any insurance you require while attending our training.

9. Data Protection

  • We respect your privacy and comply with UK GDPR regulations.

10. Legal Framework

  • These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  • Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
